I had the great honor of being invited to Savannah, GA to be part of a panel discussion on the fashion and accessories industry at the Savannah College of Art and Design this past week. Fittingly, art is everywhere on campus, right down to the guest rooms at the gorgeous Magnolia House (pictured above), where we were invited to stay. Here are a few images of the incredible art viewed on the campus tour we took. Clockwise from above right they are: 1. From the SCAD Museum of Art; 2. SCAD Museum of Art; 3. Morris Hall; 4. Morris Hall; 5. Fibers Building. I was so lucky to be part of a great group. W Fashion & Market Accessories Director Rickie De Sole moderated the panel that included me, Jessie Randall from Loeffler Randall and Eva Zuckerman from Eva Fehren, all of whom had really insightful things to say about the industry and the impact of social media on business. I managed to snap the three of them mid-stroll through Savannah and snagged a selfie with Rickie. We toured the SCAD museum of art, where I was blown away by this animal skin "rug" sculpture, made entirely of cigarettes by Xu Bing. xcv
